Manufacturing involves cutting teeth into the sprockets using advanced CNC machines, followed by heat treatment to enhance durability and wear resistance. The sprockets/flywheels are then assembled into a cluster, with spacing maintained by steel or aluminum spacers.

Key features include a splined interface for secure hub attachment, optimized tooth profiles for smooth chain engagement, and corrosion-resistant coatings. Flywheels typically range from 7 to 12 speeds, with wider ratios catering to diverse cycling disciplines.
