What're the materials used for investment cast container bridge clamps?

In Fly foundry, we cast these container bridge clamps in material of alloy steel and carbon steel. Such materials include carbon steel GB45, mild steel Q345, alloy steel GB42CrMo(4140), etc. They are mainly choosen depending on function of the clamps. 

Is there any surface treatment required for the investment cast container bridge clamps?

These investment cast container bridge clamps are used in marine shipping condition. So, they have high requirements on the corrosion resistance.  Hot galvanizing helps to achieve such requirement. So, investment cast container bridge clamps in our foundry are all galvanized. 

What's the function of the investment cast container bridge clamps?

When containers on board loaded on vessel and stacked onto each other, they will be locked by shipping container interlocks. To enhence
the connection, the container bridge clamps will be added again after two containers stocked on top of one another.
